Thomas Philipp Reiter, born in 1968, considers himself a media Catholic. Fluent in English, French and Dutch (beside his mother tongue German), he regularly reports for media worldwide from Germany and the Benelux region.

Reiter studied economics and political science and started as a journalist in Hamburg, Germany. He published his first newspaper report from Brussels about the European Parliament at the age of 16 in 1986 ("No Inhibitions"). In 1998, his first book "Zwischen Preußen und Hamburg" ("Between Prussia and Hamburg") came out. From 2014, he appeared as a political analyst for the TV news channel N24 (now "Welt") and moderated a European political television show, which was regularly aired from the European Parliament by his own production company "Medienhaus Brüssel" ("Media House Brussels"). In 2016, he described the differences and similarities between Belgium and Germany in his book "Unser belgisches Leben - 24 Betrachtungen eines ungewöhnlichen Landes" ("Our Belgian Life - 24 Observations of an Unusual Country").

His weekly Friday show "Do You Really Believe That?" is one of the most listened to religious podcasts from Belgium. Inspired by Saint Vincent Pallotti, he joined the Union of the Catholic Apostolate (UAC) in 2024.
